Jasenovsky Earns Player of the Week Honors

ESCANABA, MI – Jade Jasenovsky has been named the MCCAA Northern Conference Defensive Player of the Week for her play the week of October 14-20.  This is her third time receiving the honor.

The Norse had two matches this week.  On Tuesday Bay hosted Delta College and fell in three straight sets.  Jasenovsky collected 33 digs in the effort and was perfect in 24 receiving attempts.  On Saturday the Norse swept Gogebic Community College on the road and Jasenovsky picked up 12 digs and was 11 of 13 receiving.

For the week Jasenovsky had 45 digs which averages out to 7.5 digs per set.  Her receiving percentage for the week was an eye-popping 94.6% in a total of 37 attempts.

The Norse are on the final stretch of their regular season and still in the hunt for the postseason.  They will travel to Alpena Community College on Tuesday evening before going back downstate over the weekend.  Bay finishes their schedule at Muskegon Community College on Friday and Grand Rapids Community College on Saturday.
