Tori Jandt celebrating a point. A graphic shows 46 digs, 9 sets, and 5.11 digs per set.

ESCANABA, MI – For the fifth time this season, Tori Jandt (SO, Peshtigo, WI) had been named the MCCAA Northern Conference Player of the Week.  With the regular season wrapped up for the Norse, Bay knows they will be the fourth seed from the North in postseason play.

Jandt help the Norse snap a six-game losing streak with a pair of wins against Montcalm Community College and Gogebic Community College.  Both wins came on the road.

Finishing off conference play on Tuesday, the Norse beat Montcalm 3-2 in a tightly contested match.  Jandt collected 18 digs in the match.  In a nonconference matchup against UP rivals Gogebic Community College, Jandt collected 28 digs in a 3-1 victory.

In total Jandt collected 46 digs for an average of 5.11 digs per set for the week.

Bay College is the fourth seed from the North and will be playing in the Great Lakes District B Volleyball Championship hosted by St. Clair County Community College.  They will open the double-elimination tournament with a matchup with Clark State College, the second seed form the South.  That match is set for a 4 pm start on November 2.

A win would put the Norse in the 8 pm game on November 2nd.  A loss would give the Norse the 11 am game on November 3rd.  They would play the winner/loser of the first seed from the east (Mott Community College) and the fourth seed from the west (to be determined).
