ESCANABA, MI – Bay College's Tori Jandt (SO, Peshtigo, WI) was named MCCAA Northern Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the first week of competition (August 14-20) this season.

Jandt picked up where she left off last year, picking up a total of 77 digs in the first four matches for the Norse.  The highlight of her weekend was a 32-dig performance in a loss to Carl Sandburg College on August 20.  In the four matches played that weekend, Jandt averaged 6.42 digs per set.

Jandt was named Defensive Player of the Week three times last season.  This is the second time she was given the honor to start the season.

The Norse were 1-3 in the Opening Weekend Tournament in Rockford, IL. for the time period that Jandt received those honors.  Bay followed that up with a three-match sweep at home the following weekend.  Bay will be in the Milwaukee area for three matches on September 1 and 2.
