ESCANABA, MI – For the second week in a row, Norse Women's Basketball Player Anna Axtell took the honors as the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) Northern Conference Player of the Week for the week of November 25 through December 1.

Axtell (FR, Menominee, MI) helped lead the Norse to a win on the road at Gogebic Community College during the week.  She led all scorers with 27 points.  She also grabbed ten rebounds to secure a double-double.  She shot the ball well, hitting 11 of 16 shots from the field, which included four of four from three-point.  She also had two blocks, an assist, and a steal.

It is the second time the Norse Women's Team has taken the award this season, both of the times it has been Axtell that have taken the honors.  The win at Gogebic capped off a three-game win streak for the Norse.
