ESCANABA, MI – The Bay College Norse Men's Basketball Team (17-9) and the Dakota County Technical College Blue Knights (17-9) had to turn to the flip of a coin for the second straight season to determine the top seed in the eastern portion of the Region 13 Tournament.  For the second straight year the coin fell in favor of the Norse, giving them the top seed and the right to host the Eastern Sub-Region Championship on February 26.

By completing the sweep of Gogebic Community College on Wednesday evening, the Bay College Women's Basketball Team (15-10) had already clinched their chance to host the Sub-Regional Championship on the same date.

On Wednesday, February 26, the Norse Women's Basketball Team will host Gogebic Community College at 6 pm.  The Men's Basketball Team will host the winner of the Gogebic Community College at Dakota County Technical College at 8 pm.  The play-in game between Gogebic and Dakota County will occur on February 22.
