IRONWOOD, MI – Due to the impending winter storm expected to affect the Ironwood area, Gogebic Community College has announced the cancellation of the Lindquist Classic that was scheduled for November 30 and December 1.

Bay College's men's and women's basketball teams were scheduled to participate in the event.  Hibbing Community College, Vermilion Community College, and Leech Lake Tribal College were all expected to attend. 

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Gogebic County which is in effect from Saturday evening until Sunday afternoon.  Up to 13 inches of snow is possible in the area.

A possible make up for the tournament and/or missing games has yet to be announced.
