ESCANABA, MI – COVID protocols with teams outside of Bay College have caused schedule changes for the Norse Basketball Teams for a second consecutive week.  Wednesday's Women's game against Gogebic has been cancelled and the women will face South Suburban College on both Saturday and Sunday.

Gogebic Community College and Rock Valley College both were forced to withdraw from games this week because of COVID protocols.

Wednesday evening Gogebic Community College was set to host both Norse teams in pivotal Region 13 matchups.  They will now host just the Men's Team in game that has been moved up one hour to 7 pm Eastern Standard Time.  The two schools will attempt to reschedule the women's game, with a date to be announced later.

Despite two women's teams not being able to participate in this weekend's Bay College Winter Classic Tournament, the event will still take place.  South Suburban College is planning to compete on the women's side and will face Bay College on back-to-back days.  The loss of one game being hosted by Bay College has forced a schedule adjustment.

On Saturday the Winter Classic will kickoff with a men's game as Gogebic takes on South Suburban at 2 pm.  That will be followed by a 4 pm tip between Bay College and South Suburban women, followed by the first night finale of Bay College Men versus Rock Valley College.

Sunday will start with an 11 am tip with Gogebic and Rock Valley Men taking the floor.  That will be followed by Bay's Men taking on South Suburban at 1 pm.  The classic will conclude with Bay College Women facing South Suburban for a second time.

Bay College welcomes spectators to home events.  The campus does have a masking policy in place for all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, while indoors at all times.
