Three Norse Players Named All-Region

ESCANABA, MI - Alfonzo Fields (SO, Milwaukee, WI) from the Men's Team and Jordan Kraemer (SO, Norway, MI) and Paige Welch (SO, Perronville, MI) from the Norse Women's Team were named to the NJCAA Region XIII All-Region team for the 2018-19 Season

Fields finished the season as the leading scorer for the Norse.  He played in all 30 games, starting in 29 of them, and averaged 12.6 points per game this season.  He shot 40.5% from the floor, including 39.2% from the three point arc.  Fields also led the team in rebounding, averaging 6.1 rebounds per game and ended the season with 81 assists, 48 steals, and 14 blocks. 

Kraemer led the women's team with 17.2 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per game this past season.  She connected on 47.7% of her shots from the field and converted 82.1% of her free throw attempts.  She collected 56 steals, 55 assists, and 11 blocked shots this season.  On February 13th she surpassed the 1,000 point plateau at home against Gogebic Community College.

Welch averaged 5.1 points per game and 2.5 rebounds per game for Bay this past season.  She was second on the team in assists with 56 as well as in steals with 44.  Welch started in all 29 of Bay's games this season and was second on the team in minutes played, averaging 19.2 per game.
