Norse Softball Among NJCAA Division 2 Leaders Statistically

ESCANABA, MI - The Bay College Norse Softball team finished their first ever season with a 28-9 record and second in the Region XIII Tournament this past season.  They also finished near the top in the country in NJCAA Division 2 statistics.

As a team the Norse finished in the top 25 in two statistical categories.  They finished the season with 13 triples, which was good for 18th in the country.  They also ended the season 17th in batting average, with a .365 team average.

Some individuals also ended the season ranked in the top 25 in the country in their respective statistical categories.  Rhiley Hubert (SO, Rapid River, MI) finished ninth in Division 2 with a 1.69 ERA.  Emily Bruntjens (SO, Escanaba, MI) ended her season fourth in all of NJCAA Division 2 with eight triples, and 25th with a .473 batting average.
