ESCANABA, MI - The Softball doubleheader that was scheduled for Sunday, April 14 against Finlandia University has been postponed.
Due to the recent winter storm that affected the upper Midwest the games have been postponed. Multiple fields in the area were inspected, but by Saturday afternoon it was determined that playing conditions would not be safe by Sunday afternoon. A makeup date has not yet been determined.
The Norse Softball team will be back in action on Friday, April 19. They will host Gogebic Community College at 1 pm in a doubleheader. Action will continue on Saturday with the second doubleheader of the four game series. The first pitch is scheduled for 1 pm. As the schedule stands now, those regional games will be the first ever home event for the Norse.
