ESCANABA, MI – The Bay College Norse Men's Basketball Team (3-0) stayed undefeated on the season with a decisive 129-30 win over Lake Superior State JV (0-1) on Monday night.

The Lakers were outmatched from the start as the Norse built an early lead and never surrendered it.  Bay dominated in every aspect of the game, building a 65-17 halftime lead.

The Norse shot 65% from the floor in the matchup, including ten of 23 from behind the three-point arc.  Bay outrebounded their guests 52-17, which included 19 offensive rebounds for the Norse.  The home team turned the ball over just nine times in the contest and were 15 of 18 from the free throw line.

The Lakers came into the game with little preparation and were simply outmatched in the contest.  They shot just 24.5% from the floor, four of twenty from three-point, and did not get to the free throw line at all.  The Norse forced LSSU into twenty turnovers on the evening. 

Bay had 17 different players score for them in the game.  Lamar Grayson (FR, Richfield, MN) led all scorers with 17 points.  Isaiah Kennedy (FR, Prince George County, MD) ended his game with 16 points, five rebounds, and four assists.  Justin Nelson (FR, Iron River, MI) added 12 points and four rebounds, while Aloung Kang (FR, Apple Valley, MN) ended his night with 11 points and four rebounds.  Brevin Antilla (FR, Calumet, MI) was two for two from three-point and finished with ten points.  Carter Hudson (FR, Escanaba, MI) grabbed seven rebounds for the Norse.

The Lakers were led by Jack Izzard who hit on two of four three-point attempts and scored eight points.  Jeremy Misiak and Nielsen O'Brien each added six.

Bay will be on the road this weekend as they travel to Minnesota to take on Hibbing Community College at 8:30 pm on Friday evening.  They follow that up with a Saturday afternoon tilt against Mesabi Range Community College at 4 pm.
