PALATINE, IL – The Bay College Men's Basketball Team (4-3) survived a second half surge by the Harper College Hawks (1-7) and went on for an 89-71 win on the road.

After the Norse claimed a 12-point lead at the half, the Hawks forced turnovers and closed the gap in the second half.  With the score standing in favor of Bay College at 54-48, a Chris Dobessi (FR, Detroit, MI) sparked the Norse offense.  Marcus Harris (FR, Brimley, MI) and Austin Forbes (FR, Gwinn, MI) followed that by knocking down big three-point attempts.  Harper would get a three on the next possession, but the road team answered back, as Forbes would hit another big shot from deep, making the score 67-51.  Bay College took control from there and would end up with an 18-point victory.

"Our bench stepped up big for us today and provided us with great energy when we needed it," said Head Coach Matt Johnson.  "I've said all along that our strength is our depth and our bench proved that today.  It was a great effort and a great team win."

Dobessi paced the Norse with 15 points.  Christian Alexander (SO, Dorset, UK) added 14 points, while Tristan Masuga (FR, Cedarville, MI) used a couple of three-pointers to end his day with 12 points.

Harper's Keyondae Johnson led all scorers with 20 points on the day.  Michael Nowakowski added 13 points.
