SAULT SAINTE MARIE, MI – The Bay College Norse (17-8) would mount a major comeback on their way to a 92-81 victory on Monday evening.  The Lake Superior State Lakers would lead by 16 points in the second half before surrendering the lead and the game late.

Ten Bay College first half turnovers contributed to the Lakers building a ten point lead at half.  Brandon Allen (FR, East Lansing, MI) would hit seven of ten three-point attempts in the first half for LSSU, while Jackson Schrameyer (FR, Traverse City, MI) would score 18.  The rest of the Lake Superior State team would have eight of the team's 47 points at intermission.

The Lakers looked to be in control early in the second half.  With 15:18 left in the game they would have a 16-point lead.  Dre Tuominen (FR, Negaunee, MI) would spark a 22-6 Bay College run that would tie the game at 68 with just over nine minutes to play.  Tuominen would have a spectacular second half, hitting ten of 12 from the field and scoring 27 points while grabbing six rebounds.

The game would be tied with 5:25 left remaining, but the Norse would go on another run to end it.  They would close the game on a 17-6 run, taking the big comeback win on the road.

Tuominen would end the night with 37 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists.  Kobi Barnes (FR, Milwaukee, WI) would end with 18 points and grab eight rebounds, while Tyler Willette (FR, Escanaba, MI) would score 12 points and college eight rebounds.

Schrameyer would end with 35 points and 14 rebounds, while Allen would tally 26 points for the Lakers.

The Norse hit the road again on Wednesday to take on the Lawrence JV team.  That game in Appleton, Wisconsin will tip at 7 pm EST.
